Our Story

I am Rachael the proud owner of this little oasis in the city. Together with my husband John, own and work in this unique store. 

Annandale Garden Centre is a small boutique life style shop in the heart of Annandale, designed to be an experience and destination that keeps customers coming back. 

Established in 1980 by Daniel & Kerry Boerma as a tiny shop which just grew with the growth of Annandale. My dad's hard work and dedication ran the business for over 30 year, until it was handed down to the next generation in 2010. 

The Plant Factory

As the gardening world evolved and the inner city garden centres closed, the Plant Factory became the Annandale Garden Centre, which remains the oldest and largest  garden centre in the Inner West.

Over time our business has expanded to incorporate not just  gardening essentials but a life style shop, providing a huge range of gift and homewares sourced from all over Australia, for all ages.

Service is something on which we pride ourselves. Our small team is like a family, and  they are trained to assist our customers with gardening advice, carrrying goods to your car or helping choose the right plant or gift for your needs.  

Our family at home has grown too. We now have four children and you will not only see more of me in store but you might also meet some of some of the children as well.  

We love living and working where we do and providing a beautiful space for our customers to experience and explore.
